AquaSealz waterproof gloves have a technical construction of three layers. The three layers combine to provide not only 100% waterproofness and breathability but also a feeling of dexterity.
The exterior layer comprises abrasion resistant yarns, so it is not only durable but also easy to drip dry.
The inner layer is made from a Thermolite based material which is warm, pleasant to the touch and breathable. This layer allows moisture from the skin to pass through to the outside of the glove but retains heat, thus keeping hands warm and dry.
The middle membrane is a layer of high performance Porelle. This technologically advanced material allows the water vapour from sweat to pass out of the glove but prevents liquid water from passing into it. This means that hands stay dry in the rain, snow or even when totally immersed in water.
Important Care Notes:
Please observe the washing guidance for these gloves. Washing or drying the gloves at more than 40 degrees celcius will damage the bond in the Porelle membrane and ruin the gloves' waterproofness. Do not dry the gloves on a radiator or other hot surface. Allow the gloves to drip dry. Be careful not to puncture the gloves. If the Porelle membrane is puctured the gloves will no longer be 100% waterproof.
THERMOLITE insulation provides comfort and warmth without bulky weight, even when it is wet. Because it is comfortable and light weight, THERMOLITE insulation permits freedom of movement - making it the perfect layer for outdoor wear. Its hollow-core fibres trap air providing excellent insulation for light, yet heavy-duty performance. It is also referred to as 'artificial polar bear hair'. THERMOLITE is the registered trademark of Invista.
PORELLE waterproof breathable membranes have been engineered for lamination to create high performance fabrics for a range of different market applications.
Dexshell socks are designed to keep your feet dry no matter how much water is around. For anyone exposed to the elements, from dog walkers to motorcyclists, even if your boot or shoe gets filled with water the Dexshell sock will keep your feet dry! Produced using a patented 3 layer construction, these socks make the most of the latest available technology in microporous films and fibre weaving techniques to provide a sock of exceptional quality.Inner Layer: The inner layer is made from a knitted Merino wool based material which is both pleasant to the touch and breathable. This layer allows moisture from the skin to pass through to the outside of the sock but retains heat, thus keeping feet warm and dry. This in turn maximises comfort and helps reduce the chance of blistering.
Membrane Layer: Between the inner and outer layers is the technical part of the sock, the Porelle membrane. This membrane will prevent water passing through it even when the water is under pressure. But it maintains the ability to allow moisture in the form of water vapour (sweat) to pass through. This means feet stay dry even when the outside of the sock is immersed in water. PORELLE waterproof breathable membranes have been engineered for lamination to create high performance fabrics for a range of different market applications. Porelle membranes are manufactured by PIL Membranes with over 30 years' experience in the market place. PORELLE is the registered trademark of KL Technologies Group Limited.
Outer Layer: Tough yarns and technical weaving provide for a high quality and strong outer layer making this sock suitable for any outdoor sport or activity.
