This positive pressure powered respirator eliminates the drawbacks encountered with standard negative pressure face masks. The motor unit blows filtered air down over your face at a rate of 160L/min. Fatigue caused by having to suck through a filter is no longer a problem; breathing is normal and comfortable. The air exiting around the sides and bottom of the mask is at slightly higher pressure than that outside, so forms a most effective seal. Beards are not a problem. If you wear glasses, these will not fog or mist up as you breathe out. With the motor and filters mounted on the peak of the bump cap and the battery at the rear, the balance of the APF 10 Evolution unit is excellent. Combined with the low overall weight (680g), it is very comfortable. The Li-Ion batteries give you a run time of 8 hours on a full charge. The filters are easy to inspect and replace. The bump cap's outer cover is removable for washing. The unit provides respiratory protection to EN12941:1998 + A2:2008 TH1P. The bump cap gives head protection to EN812. The clear visor gives you a wide field of vision along with impact protection to EN.166.B.1. Supplied with an 8-hour battery, plus charger, two filters, a flow-rate meter and complete instructions all within a strong storage box. Respiratory protective equipment (RPE) should not be used as the only means of control as it should complement other control measures such as a dust extraction system. Each RPE type and class is categorised by an assigned protection factor (APF). The APF is a number rating that indicates how much protection that RPE is capable of providing. For example, RPE with an APF of 10 will reduce the wearer's exposure by at least a factor of 10 if used properly, or, to put it another way, the wearer will only breathe in one-tenth or less of the amount of substance present in the air. Evolution is a registered trade mark of JSP Ltd, used under licence by Axminster Tool Centre Ltd.

This 535mm(21") scroll saw is the mid sized model from a range of three with some really different features not found on any other machine. It is constructed mainly from plate steel including a 7mm heavy gauge steel table with an epoxy painted surface. Two unique features make this machine stand out from any other. Firstly, the blade actuating arms are very short, driven by a lever and rod mechanism. This gives very high control of the blade plus exceptionally low vibration. Secondly, the whole arm assembly tilts 45° from the vertical right and 35° left, leaving the table horizontal. This allows much better control of the work, due to greater visibility and being able to work at a natural position. You are not fighting gravity or bending your wrists into awkward positions. This machine is not short of other features, having a variable speed control system giving from 400-1,500 strokes per minute. Upgraded with the PEGAS "Blade Chuck" blade clamps which are much lighter, reducing vibration which reduces stress on the machine. Blade changing is easy and tool free, with two hand clamps and a quick release lever. An air blower and work hold down are provided. Plus there is efficient dust collection when connected to a suitable fine dust extractor. You are recommended to permanently mount the machine onto your workbench or to one of the dedicated stands available as an option. Using unpinned blades means there is a large selection of blades available or you can use 150mm lengths of 1/4" bandsaw blade, ideal for cutting thicker materials. Supplied with an assortment pack of Swiss made PEGAS blades. This is a serious machine for craft or joinery work, not the same as any other.
A chip and coarse dust extractor for extracting from saws, planers, spindle moulders, bandsaws and similar machines in a small workshop. It comes with a cloth filter bag on the top and a plastic waste collection sack bellow. Power comes from a 750W induction motor equipped with a no-volt-release switch and emergency stop button. A single 100mm inlet can be used to connect to machines with a similar sized extraction port. Using smaller diameter hoses will severely reduce the airflow. An unusual feature of this extractor is the floor sweeping attachment which fits to the base of the machine, allowing the extractor to be wheeled around the workshop, collecting waste as it goes. There is a fine filter bag available for use when collecting medium sized dust particles, or alternatively, an optional fine dust cartridge filter can be fitted. The machine is supplied with approximately 600mm length of inlet hose; additional lengths of 100mm hose are available separately. This machine uses waste sack size - 560 x 915mm (340068).
This extractor can be used in small home workshops for common wood machining tasks where a higher airflow than provided by a vacuum extractor is required. The quiet running induction motor provides plenty of power to extract from many small workshop machines. The inlet diameter is 100mm(4"), the outlet into the bag is 100mm(4") and the airflow is sufficient to handle the majority of waste likely to be produced in the small home workshop. A useful feature is that it can be used either on the floor or suspended from a sturdy wall using the two hanging brackets provided. A useful grab handle and castors allow easy mobility. Hose not supplied. See extraction hose selection for further details. Please note that this is a chippings extractor and should not be expected to collect fine dust. As with all the high volume low pressure airflow machines, the inlet should not be restricted to below 75mm diameter and the bag should be emptied regularly. Spare bag provided.Performance Rating 1
A good value-for-money disc sander which will be a great asset in any hobbyist's workshop. The 300mm disc is driven by a quiet 750W induction motor and takes the full range of our 300mm diameter self-adhesive discs. Tip!Self adhesive discs can easily be removed complete with their glue by gently warming with a hot air gun before removing. The motor is controlled by a no-volt-release switch and there is a brake provided to slow the disc down in a reasonable time. The cast iron sanding table has a ground top surface and is provided with a slot for the adjustable mitre fence, used for end grain sanding. The table tilts to 45° and is firmly locked in position with heavy duty handles at both ends. Dust is extracted from the bottom of the disc via a shroud which terminates in a 63mm diameter outlet. A 450mm length of flexible hose is provided with the machine; this has a 60mm diameter sleeve at the end which will connect directly to an extractor.

This quality scroll saw is made almost entirely in cast iron which has excellent vibration damping qualities. The twin pivot arm mechanism provides minimum blade oscillation, giving a very clean cut. A choice of stroke depth of 10 and 20mm also gives further options for different cutting tasks, as does the electronically variable stroke rate of between 400-1,400 per minute. Able to take both pinned and pinless blades, a handy blade clamp setting jig is built into the table, making accurate blade changes easy to do. The very large cast iron table has a smooth surface and gives great support to the work, also it can easily be tilted to 45° for bevel work. The table insert can be replaced with a blank unit which can be drilled to suit the blade, giving almost zero clearance for fine work. A 120W induction motor gives ample power and is silent running to avoid distractions. An articulated hose provides air from a bellows to keep the blade area free of dust, whilst a vacuum extractor can be connected to an outlet for dust control. An eye shield and work hold down foot are provided for added safety during use. A separate, large, emergency stop control is fitted, in line with requirements for schools and colleges, offering a quality scroll saw at a realistic price. Supplied with a blank table insert, spare pinless blade clamps and a pack of assorted Pegas, Swiss made blades. A wide range of either pinned or unpinned blades is available.
